Apple Inc today has announced in the their press release that iPad 2 will be launched in Japan on Thursday, April 28, 2011 and Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea and eight addtional countries on Friday, April 29, 2011. Which are the eight additional countries? Is Malaysia in the list?
A picture of Apple iPad 2 stocks in Tropicana City Mall was taken by someone who was there. The Apple staff there doesn’t want to comment further but this person who took this picture mentioned that selected Apple retail store will have special bundle purchase with screen protector or the Smart Cover on the launch day itself.

This is what T. Kugan, Maxis’ Vice President & Head of Products, Devices & Innovationn said during the launch of Maxis Integrated Partner in Education (MIPE) on April 5, 2011.
One source said that this news has basis due to the fact that Maxis supposedly has a very good relationship with Apple. Apple has mentioned that Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea & addtional countries will have iPad 2 launch this coming April 2011. This news has seriously reduced the chances of Malaysia to be in the list of ‘additional countries to have iPad 2 launch’. 🙁
Yup. That’s the latest rumor that has been around the blogosphere about iPad 2 release date/launching date.
It seems that Apple has booked Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on March 2nd 2011 for Apple Media Event. The release date has been confirmed with promotional signage in the area stating that iPad 2 will be launched on the said date. The event will start on Wednesday (March 2nd 2011) at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. Apple will provide a live stream for those who are not invited to the event.
